LDC Care Co is an expanding family-owned care provider with over 55 services across Kent. We support adults with complex learning disabilities and mental health diagnoses within residential and supported living environments. The Deputy Management positions will be assigned to a Registered Manager to support in the oversight of a ‘patch’ of services.
About The Role
We have an exciting brand-new opportunity within our operational management structure for Deputy Managers! This position would suit someone with strong experience working within complex care who is looking to either begin or develop their management career within the care sector.
The key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Supporting the Registered Manager to oversee their allocated services
Work alongside support teams to provide care and support to service users, setting an exemplary example of standards of care
Assist in the line management of support workers and other team members who provide care to supported individuals, including conducting supervisions, return to works, and light investigatory duties
Drafting of rosters
Maintaining high standards of environments and safety within services
Completing paperwork and audits to maintain compliance
Participate in the review and drafting of support plans, risk assessments and other key service user documents
Take full responsibility of managing services in the absence of the Registered Manager
Participate in the On Call structure for out of hours and across weekends
The Person
The ideal candidate will:
Be qualified to the QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care as a minimum, with a possibility or ability to work towards the Level 5
Have high levels of experience working within the care sector, preferably within Learning Disabilities, Mental Health, and Challenging Behaviour
Be a confident communicator both verbally and in writing
Be able to lead and motivate others
Be flexible and creative in their approach
Set an outstanding example to support staff
